We are passionate about delivering the best eye care to our whole community. All eye examinations with us, for both NHS and private patients, provide complete eyesight testing and an assessment of your eye health.
All testing is carried out using the latest equipment and procedures to ensure that any issues are diagnosed. We also leave plenty of time for our examinations so you will be able to ask your optometrist about anything you’re not sure about.
What to expect in your eye examination?
During your eye examination, your optometrist will gather information through questions and tests to assess your vision and eye health.
To thoroughly test your eyesight a visual acuity test is carried out. There will also be a series of eye health checks including retinal imaging, which allows your optometrist to screen for eye conditions and assess the health of your retinas. Questions will relate to your medical background, family history of eye conditions and symptoms.
Finally, your optometrist will discuss your vision and eye health with you and lay out any care plan or future appointments that may be necessary.

Enhanced eyecare with OCT
To provide quality care to our patients we offer the latest procedures and technology available. This includes the option of OCT scans, which is a modern piece of equipment that allows a more detailed examination of eye health and eye condition screening.
This non-invasive procedure uses a special kind of light to create a 3D image of the different layers that make up the back of the eye. This allows a qualified optometrist to examine more of your eyes, providing a more detailed assessment of macular health as well as catching eye conditions even in the earliest stages of development.
Dry eye assessments
We offer assessments to help you find the cause and solution for your dry eye symptoms. Dry eyes can be itchy, sore, sensitive to light and can cause blurring of vision. Not everyone experiences the same symptoms and dry eyes can be caused by different things. With our dry eye assessments, we can pinpoint the cause of your symptoms and find the best solution for you.
